I am a CA resident, I was promised in November 2022 (well before the NEM 3.0 deadline) that I would be under NEM 2.0. my system got installed in Dec of 2022 but was waiting on permits and a new main panel. i signed the interconnection request with PG&E for NEM 2.0 in December of 2022. fast forward to June 2023. system is still off and I still paid 6 months worth of the payments towards the solar. the installer (titanium solar) was supposed to pay for the months of until the system was live. The salesman straight‑up told us that if we bought the bigger system, we’d never have an electric bill again. That was a damn lie. A big, bold, shameless lie. Between paying our regular electric bill AND the solar payment, we would’ve been better off never touching solar in the first place. Last June, July, and August our electric bill was right at $200 — on top of a $240 solar bill. That’s insane.
