My hip replacement was amazing. Short surgery, took only 45-50min. Dr.Thor is such an amazing surgeon and his Staff Dr. Boozy, Dr. Mark Biggerstaff and the others took so,so good care of me. The new Method what Dr.Thor provides was totally easy and uninvasive. The scar is half the size of other surgeries. There are no restrictions and almost no pain. I agree w Debra Lee above, Dr Thor definitely changed the quality of my life. I wish I would of done the hip replacement sooner! His whole staff is awesome Kevin and Biggie are two of his PA's all of which were very thorough. To anyone I forgot, sending apologies in advance. The nurses were all so helpful with calling and getting you ready for joint replacement class and anything else I needed help with. If I could give TEN STARS I would!
Dr. Thor drastically improved the quality of my life. I had a bad experience with another Dr for my first hip surgery (left)which left me with an inch and a half leg length discrepancy. Dr. Thor used an entirely different approach and when my second hip surgery (right) was done by Dr Thor at the Lakeside surgery center (who also has excellent staff) I can honestly say I am “even “ again. His surgery method was easy and took far less time to get “up and going “ again. Very pleased!
I did something to my right knee. I saw my PCP and she referred me to CHI ortho at lakeside. I waited almost two weeks for an appt with Dr Thor . I never saw Dr Thor, I saw his PA. I rec'd a cortisone shot. My knee did not get better. It swelled, it is so painful I cannot walk on it. Any other position does not make the pain go away. I have called into the office twice.
