Like the Porter family, we have had many problems with our home from the beginning (5 years ago) and still cant get Clayton Homes to fix these issues. Every couple of months they will send someone out to look at the problems, and we will be told that they will be back in 2 weeks to fix them. Well everytime they dont show, we will call back and its the same story everytime...we have been really busy, my guy quit on me for no reason or I cant find anyone who wants to work. The home we purchased from this company had some problems and you expect problems sometimes. But you do not expect problems with the people that run the company and should be professional about the way they stand behind their product. When we let them know what our issues were, they were very reluctant to repair and correct problems in the home. Clayton Homes in Lufkin, Texas does not stand behind their product. My family recently purchased a home from this dealership. When warranty issues arised Clayton put us in direct contact with the manufactuer of the home, rather than Clayton mediating between us the buyers and the manufactuer of the home. The matter should have been handled between Clayton and Fleetwood, but the company refused to mediate; therefore, my husband and I had to handle the situations ourselves.
