DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! If I could give this zero stars I would!!! They LIE TO YOU about your home passing state inspection, when it FAILED!! The absolute worst place to get a home from. The manager Kevin Smith is absolutely awful and talks down to everyone! (I’ve spoken with other buyers who confirm this!) Their contractors (ours was Dustin Waterman) fail state inspections because they can’t do their job correctly!! They LIE, GASLIGHT, and MANIPULATE!! They do not pass state inspections, nor do they make things right after the fact. Would not recommend to anyone
I’m not even sure how they have 4.0 stars on their reviews. We bought a home from Clayton back in June 2024 and they began construction and land work in August 2024. They failed state inspection in December of 2024. For imminent safety hazards to include house not sitting on foundation appropriate, water intrusion under the home, and improper grading and backfilling against the home. First off, these are not your grandmas' trailers. They come with brand name appliances, some quality finishes, excellent customer service and salesman that can't be beat. The house is well constructed to current codes. Straight answers, cooperation and returned calls when promised. If there is one disappointment it is that the kitchen cabinets are rough inside and unpainted raw wood isn't something I want to set my glasses on.
