The ophthalmologist (LD) is amazing and her clinical staff and support team is awesome!Clayton Eye Center (practice administrator KM) along with their outsourced RCM Millennia Pay has provided horrible customer service. I was balanced billed after making a requested upfront payment to include an unmet deductible plus the 20% co-insurance. The provider is an in-network provider. Clayton Eye Center has owed me several hundred dollars since my surgery in July, 2022. Despite my insurance company and myself calling them numerous times for a refund, they still have not refunded my money. The customer service agents at ********************** are rude and many times will not even answer the phone. They also make promises of getting your refund back to you, but the money is never refunded. My eye surgery at this clinic also did not go well. My surgeon was *******************. I had an eye procedure done on Dec 19, 2022 and was charged $298.00, which I paid in full that day. I received an EOB from my insurance which says they paid Clayton Eye Center and I would only owe them $254, a difference of $44. I have called, left messages and been put on hold numerous times since January 4th No one will respond to my questions.. My husband had eye surgery at Clayton Eye Center on June 22nd and they insisted we pay upfront over twice what my insurance said our part would be but they wouldn’t do the surgery without us paying the amount so we skipped paying other bills, borrowed money from people etc. and got the surgery. We then got our EOB’s in the mail showing that we overpaid $1002.87. I have called and talked to 7 or more people, (since June & this is January!) waited on hold more hours than I want to admit. Policy they have that person dropping off patient must be same person to wait in their car due to covid for four hours till patient is ready to leave. Drop off person cannot leave parking lot. If I left a child or animal in a car parking lot for four hours I would be committing a crime but it's OK for me an 83 yr old person to do it. Temperatures at the time were above 88 degrees.
