Went to NYU ER. They failed to do some very basic tests. Got sent to another NYU doc. He failed to do some very basic tests. Then was sent to Wolgel. He diagnosed me correctly (finally), but failed to do some very basic tests and didn't culture the severe infection I had. Instead he just gave me 3 weeks of antibiotics, which helped for a bit, but then BOOM, my infection returns with a resistance to that antibiotic, which I found out later after getting a culture in Latin America at almost zero cost out of pocket without insu... read more
I went to Dr Vogel with an elevated PSA. He was very very thorough, fought with my insurance to get me a P.E.T. scan, would not let me leave the premises, after my diagnosis, until he had scheduled appointments for me with two top rated oncologists, including the#1 man-in his field in the country. I would've given no stars at all if it was an option. He pulled me around for 4 months without doing any testing and losing the kidney stones that I took to him, I dont know where he got his license from, probably a fake license from the black market or maybe from the doctor set at the toy store. A week after I left him I had a major attack which ended up with me needing 2 surgeries. Thank god I had the brains to leave him and find a real kidney stone specialist.
