Stopped by today (March 29, 2024). Appears this place may be permanently closed. Door locked, lights out, days or weeks worth of mail piled up on the floor inside, no furniture nor other equipment. Notice of long overdue water bill on door.

Just wanted to share my experience of working with Patrick Dunlap the owner. I was a really young single mom when I started working at Classicleaners. To sum up the story for months I worked for the owner being paid well below minimum wage. In 2017 DCs minimum wage was $12.50. I was being paid cents over $8.00. Shortly after working there, I was not paid on time and when I inquired Dunlap was nasty and ended up firing me. I have used ClassiCleaners for decades – – since they were over in Pear Tree Village. But I am getting ready to give up on them. I send them dress shirts every week. And almost every week I get back one or more shirts with broken or missing buttons. I call and I drop by and I express my frustrations with the problem. But it never gets fixed. Dropped off a pair of jeans for a zipper repair. Took 2.5 weeks and was delivered back without the repair being made. Zero communication about the status of the job and a lack of customer service. My recommendation: don’t go here.
