I grew up near Edison. Tastees subs was my go too. Then I moved to Lawrenceville. Tastees opened up their 3rd location which closed a couple years ago. I found this place. I think the owner worked for Tastees. The bread is the same. Sandwiches are identical. I’m back I heaven again. I hoping he also makes the same tuna as tastees. Have not tried it yet. So far sticking with the Italian.
The only thing consistent about this place is the perpetual declining quality of the food they serve. It's a coin toss whether you get somebody who actually makes a sandwich, or throws food on mangled bread and wraps it in paper. I wish I could just say one thing, but theres so many variables that change.
Excellent Hoagies. We ordered a few of them. Bread is soft and fresh. Best hoagie I've had in a long time. Definitely will be returning here.
