Classic Steel & Design is an artisan run, locally owned blacksmith’s shop. Using traditional techniques and combining them with modern technology we produce high quality, hand forged bespoke items. At Classic Steel & Design we offer Blacksmithing classes for beginners to experienced with small class numbers to maximize one on one teaching and ensure that our students receive intensive instruction and personalised feedback.

I needed a hand with a metal modification task straight out of left field and Oscar helped me out at short notice. Absolute gentleman and scholar.
I had an amazing day with Oscar. I was doing the 1 day hammer forging course. I found Oscar to be very knowledgeable and great at carrying a conversation, even with someone as introverted as I. At no point during the day did i feel rushed or expected to accept something i was not happy with. All my concerns were addressed as we progressed, even some I didn't pick up on. All together it was a super fun forging a new tool for my collection. I highly recommend to anyone to give a course a go

Oscar knows his trade and was patient with his guidance and advice. The shop is well setup for a small group and easy to work in. Fantastic day highly recommended as an experience!
I did a 2 day course making various tools, I found it to be a fantastic weekend and learnt so much from Oscar. He is very knowledgeable and has a great approach to teaching. I would definitely recommend a course with Classic Steel and Design I will definitely be back to do more courses with Oscar.
