Great doctor- highly recommmend.
Dr.Classen did my bypass surgery on December 4th and he was great I have not had any problems he took very good care of me in the hospital. I would refer him to anyone having weight loss surgery. It has been a journey before and after my surgery one that I would definitely do again. Thank you Dr. Classes and your very competent staff.
This surgeon removed a lap band. Surgery performed at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. After surgery, stitches were not applied sufficiently and came loose. After about 3 or 4 days stirrups fell off and wound opened to point where I could look into a hole in stomach. Contacted surgeon and he instructed me to go to a Drug Store, purchase stirrups or band aids, pull wound together and tape wound closed. After seeing this doctor for this issue, he told me I complain a lot. Standards of Care very poor.
He may be a competent surgeon. However, he needs major improvements with his bedside manner. Was scheduled for a procedure he never addressed me and was called away for an emergency. He had a Med student present. Hope she doesn't adapt his manner. I now understand why my patients were unhappy with him!
