I just read the other POC reviews, and I felt the same way.... The vibe is so off. I've visited three times and experienced two different employees, like they try to be friendly, but legit it feels like they think I'm going to steal, especially the youngish blonde employee. The older one can be a bit condescending as if what could I possibly know about anything their store kind of vibe. This place is the real deal. Queer and trans-affirming without making it a performance. The staff are genuinely helpful, know their stuff, and don’t hover or push. Great selection of incense, candles, herbs, tinctures, and other witchy wellness goods. Everything feels intentional, not mass-produced or gimmicky. Go here for a friendly shop with well-made, thoughtful items.

I came in with my friend a little over a month ago, almost two months after my dad passed away. Artemis had such a warm presence, so I felt comfortable enough to share my recent loss with them and asked for recommendations in the shop that can help with emotional pain. They made my friend and I a fresh cup of tea (made with rose petals, tulsi holy basil and fennel seed) while we chatted.
