Wonderful gourmet Cajun and Creole food with nice view of canal. The chef/owner is usually on the premises to visit each table. The off-menu daily specials are the best!
No customers, old stinky building, strange atmosphere, and expensive – After reading all the good reviews, I brought my family on vacation. For the prices they charge, I expect 5 star cleanliness. Great food---fair prices---worth the detour – We are from south Louisiana, south of New Orleans to be more specific. Also, let me say I am VERY VERY picky about my food. Clary's had some good reviews, so we decided to try it. The restaurant was easy to find, even though they are a little out of the way. We had 3 people in our party. Yeah buddy! – For the past 8 years, once a year, we drive for 5 hours and prepare our mouths and minds for a great experience here. The food is wonderful and the service (ask for Clary's son) has always been good for us (usually a group of 10 or more). The best part is you get the traditional white linen table treatment while you're wearing shorts and sandals (although people classier than us dress up, too.) Trust me, you won't want to miss this place, just don't tell anyone else...

Clary's is an Institution – Clary's is one of the best seafood restaurants on the Texas Gulf Coast. The food and ambience on scenic Offatt's Bayou is unmatched anywhere. This is the only restaurant that my family and I will drive 60 miles to experience and we are very close to the best spots in Houston, bar none. Authentic gumbo and the freshest fish on the coast. Slow as Christmas – Great Ambience, but thats where it ends. Slow service, cold and tastless food, and high prices. Locals seem to like it, but you will do better to go to Caseys for better food, and a bit lighter on the wallet.
