After I left my check engine light has been on. I don't know if it was their fault but it wasn't on when I came in

I went in to get my oil changed this was recommended to me by another shop to come here. I did just that I took my car I was running late they knew I would be there close to closing time. I had to pick up my daughter from the bus..I got there and my car completely broke down as soon as I pulled into the bay. I am in complete panic. As this is my daily and only vehicle.
