I have never in my life been so rudely talked down to by a healthcare "professional." I went for an exam as I was somewhat overdue, although my current glasses were fine. My initial visit went relatively fine, except when I saw Dr Leonard he rushed through the visit and sent me on my way with a new prescription in what felt like only 5 minutes (foreshadowing), but otherwise the initial interaction was fine.
