I went for an eye exam and possibly contacts. I was told my co-pay would be 10.00. 150.00 of contacts or glasses would be covered. The total amount ended up 132.27. When they sent me a text saying my contacts where ready I had to call them two separate days to get an appointment for the contact teach. Although the people here are great. I paid in full on the day of my appointment. Almost 400.00 for 2 pairs of glasses and my exam. I also have insurance. They are now trying to get more money out of me. Over 100.00 more. They are coming up with off the hall charges. I have called my insurance and it was covered on their end. My part was paid up front. I got my glasses ( if I owed money why would they give me my glasses) not a problem. Months later now they say I owe money. STAY AWAY THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF MORE MONEY... read more
I had an appointment at 3:00pm and was asked to be 15 minutes early. First, I was told that they could not do my diabetic exam and my prescription check on the same day. Never had this problem before, but I told them to cancel the diabetic exam. I waited for an hour and twenty minutes and still was not seen, so I left. I have been going to Clarkson for years, but I will not continue to use Clarkson for my eyecare needs. Very unprofessional!
Confirmed my appointment by phone with an actual person at this location. Arrives for said appointment and no doctor. Made an appointment for the next day. Was seen but the whole visit was a hour and a half. The new optometrist seemed very knowledgeable and friendly so there’s hope
I won’t be returning to Clarkson Eyecare or seeing Dr. Ashley DiMercurio again. I made it very clear to the office ahead of time that I only wanted a basic eye exam covered by my insurance. However, once I was checked in, they immediately began prepping a series of tests using multiple machines, which seemed excessive compared to the standard exams I’ve had for the past 20 years. When I asked whether these tests would incur out-of-pocket costs, I was told they would—specifically, an additional $50. I expressed that I didn’t ... read more
