Rooms are old and need painting on the stairs. Kitchen sink was broken and poor drainage. They moved us to another room and phone didn't work. One of the staff members were rude when he came up to fix the issue with one of the TV's. His comment was rude and inappropriate and I made a complaint with front desk and Choice Hotel customer service. I will follow up with a further complaint with Choice Hotel business office. DJ, the manager, ALWAYS goes above and beyond regular hotel stay values and hospitality expectations. As a manager, he's great, as a human, he's amazing. From the smallest issues to anything you're not happy with. THIS visit on 7/8/2025 & 7/9/2025, I brought my Granddaughters (ages 14 & 10). We checked in and my Granddaughters were met by DJ, thinking they needed help or directions. He saw my familiar/ regular face and I introduced my Granddaughters to him. The staff from this hotel keeps calling me to ask why I ‘charged back my room fee.’ I booked through a third party in advance, and the hotel wants me to pay again. They become upset with me and hang up when I tell them to call Travel and Leisure, where I booked the room. It would ‘be easier for them if I just paid again’ for a room I stayed in (and paid for) over a month ago.

I recently stayed at the Clarion, and unfortunately, my experience didn't meet expectations. The room had several issues that were hard to overlook. The beds had noticeable stains, and the sheets weren't much better—also stained. The smell in the room was musty, almost like mold, which made it uncomfortable to be in for any length of time. To make matters worse, the shower had hair all over the walls, and both the towels and blankets seemed less than clean.
