I had to go to this hospital for a tetanus while camping in Fort Mcleod as it was the only one open and I needed a tetanus urgently due to coming in contact with a bat as per AHS instructions. I wont go into much detail as far as how bad the service was but the Dr. That treated me and the hallway nurse were horrible, uncompassionate with no bedside manners. Worst hospital to visit if you have complex health issues. The Dr’s and nurses there today really lacked compassion, they didn’t really listen to my concerns or treat my symptoms effectively. Just poor heath care and incompetent staff and terrible bed side manner. The nurse left me lying beside a dirty commode for over 6 hours without emptying it. Claresholme general hospital is the medical version of russian rouletre. Scary and hard to explain how an elderly person who arrives with fractures, a gash needing stitches and an infection is sent home with pain medication only. Staff found nothing in their examimation! Its absolutely shocking and likely malpractice that doctors and nursing staff were incapable of examining, diagnosing, or treating a patient. We've had some great care and services here, however, we don't need vaccines pushed on us. My wife cut her finger in the kitchen on a knife and she just wanted to get it glued shut or something at the hospital because we couldn't get the bleeding to stop. The Tdap shot was mentioned 2 or 3 times in total. The doctor who treated my wife asked when she last got a tetanus shot and I think he looked up her record and then said "we're going to need to update that".
