Been meaning to write this review for a while. I'd highly recommend Robb and Clapper's for your fireplace. I started out getting estimates from a couple other places and I wasn't overly impressed. The other companies wanted me to take all the measurements myself and didn't have any real knowledge about the efficiency of the units they sold. Robb (from Clapper's), on the other hand, came out a couple days after calling to take measurements and answer all my questions. Robb installed two Mendota FV44i’s in our home after another company lost our faith and we parted ways. Robb is professional, honest, does great work and is just a great person to work with overall. Knowledgeable about the products he sells and excellent on design too. He is a rare find so grab him if you can.

I bought a beautiful Mendota gas fireplace from Clapper's in 2015. I was very happy with my purchase and installation. Robb serviced the fireplace the first two years. When I called to have it serviced the third year, Robb never returned my call. I don't know why. It is very difficult to have a fireplace serviced from a dealer other than the one from whom you made your purchase. I called Robb again this year and once again he never returned my call.
