Disappointing. Long-time customer of Claire’s with pleasant memories. Tonight was probably the worst experience with veal scallopini that I can recall. Tough, stringy, tasteless best describe the dish. My criterion for good, properly prepared veal scallopini is “can be cut with a fork”. This dish failed. Waitress notified, but no comeback. I lunched here on my first day visiting Warrenton and then changed my plans to dine here every day of my stay! The interior is beautiful, well-designed, and the decor is charming. The service was exceptional on all 3 occasions -- amiable, helpful and efficient. The first day, I enjoyed their unbelievably excellent quiche; for dinner, the scallops were delicious; for lunch on my last day, the Grilled Shrimp Cobb Salad was perfect. It's the best restaurant in the area, in my opinion. Food choices were exceptional - something for everyone.
My wife and I go here every now and again, despite it being over an hour away. I think it might be impossible to have a bad meal here. Everything is so tasty and you can tell it's all handmade. The service and atmosphere is lovely too. Parking is a bit tight sometimes.
