Don't ever work here. Civitas Media will use you until you are broken and bitter. No real management, no communication, no advancement or recognition for hard work and effort. Administrators mistreat their editors, publishers, reporters, graphics, and page layout teams, expecting the work of three people out of every single person. It's all about sales of ads, which is all these papers are anymore.
I'd bet more people in Stokes County know the name of the editor of Stokes News than the people who run it at Civitas Media. The masthead this week shows the editor is Nicholas Elmes. He's the _former_ editor, who departed two weeks ago to join AmeriCorps in Missouri. The masthead shows Amanda Dodson as a sports reporter. Actually, she's the editor.
