Front desk people were nice, doctor was pretty rude for an urgent care place. Refused to answer questions about follow up appointments because “she doesn’t deal with billing”. Pretty insensitive thing to say to someone if you work in patient care. Every doctor that me and my family has ever had has answered questions about insurance/ follow ups bc money is inevitably integrated with treatment. Hopefully she gains some professionalism in the future.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’ll still be a pig sums up my experience at this CityMD. I took a bad fall after arriving in NYC for a family vacation and was bleeding badly from my mouth. The hotel directed our family to this CityMD for urgent care. I was encouraged by the lack of a line and clean waiting area, but my experience went downhill from there. I cannot express how kind, professional, and responsive the staff was here. Truly, a life saver.
I’ve been to this location a couple of times, but this time they have throughly pissed me off. I was supposed to receive two medications and requested that I have the prescriptions filled by my job for immediate pick-up. However, one prescription was sent to the pharmacy located near my job and the other was sent to my home based pharmacy. DIFFERENT BOROUGHS!!! AVOID IT!! Would like to give a NEGATIVE 10!! similiar scam experience with other reviews. SEVERE misleading billing practices at CityMD!! I visited CityMD after confirming three separate times—including with the front desk—that my insurance (Aetna CVS Health plan) was in-network and that I would only be responsible for a copay. Weeks later, I was unexpectedly billed the full cost of the urgent care visit because, as I was later told, my individual plan didn't include urgent care benefits, despite CityMD being in-network.
