Fast service and very friendly staff. I was seen fast almost that much waiting time. Staff was vey helpful !!!!!!
On Friday, JUly 18 I went to City MD office located on 58 Broadway, Elmwood Park NJ. I had a bad coughing & runny nose more than a week & my family doctor was on vacation. Upon arrival the RN took my vitals & then after almost an hour The doctor Barbara McIntosh MD came in with a very nasty attitude with question : Why did You come to us?. on my explanation she said - You have to go to ER. Be certain you have lots of time. I arrived at 12:50. I was the only patient in the lobby. I was taken into to examination room at five past 1:00, saw three patients leave within the hour, and was not seen by the doctor until 2:15. My consultation with the doctor was 10 minutes.
I came here with a sore throat and fever. I was struggling to stay sitting up and felt like I was going to faint. The docters looked at me in shock and told me to go to the er. After my mom and I had said no, you can literally hear the docters outside of the room talking about us.They dismissed me and wanted me to go to the hospital almost like they didn’t want responsibility for me. I’ve been to this location twice now. The first time I had a pleasant experience with a male doctor who had no issue prescribing a steroid after the flu. This time dr. M (female older woman) controller dismissed my concerns. She didn’t even do a thorough exam. Said it’s viral and made me feel like I committed a crime for Taking Tylenol. I was the only patient there at the time and she rushed me out of there as if I was a burden. Come to find out I needed meds and the competent doctor elsewhere treated me properly.
