Service and wine were great, but it was very frustrating that so many menu items were out of stock. The menu is already very small. Also annoying that the wine was served in plastic disposable cups as well has paper plates and plastics utensils.
Drinks were good, but felt like the service was very pushy and I actually ended up with drinks that I didn’t even know that I asked for and a bill that I wasn’t expecting to pay felt weird saying that I didn’t ask for these drinks so I ended up paying for it, but the atmosphere was very nice ! It’s good for a one drink and go!
I’ve been to this City Winery multiple times, even prior to moving to Chicago, and it is always a wonderful experience! The location is prime, the staff are spectacular, and the wine is consistently a crowd pleaser. I’d like to specifically mention Enzel and JT, who have been so lovely and accommodating during our visits — they deserve all the love and flowers in Chicago!
