We recently spent the weekend at City Star Lodge for Riverfire and it and unexpected surprise. While the hallway to the room seemed a little tired the room itself was amazing. The room was spacious, immaculate and well stocked with what you need. The bed was comfortable, towels big and fluffy, and the staff were all friendly and upbeat making you feel welcome right from the start. They were informative when asked about local options. Will definitely stay again when in Brisbane.
Great location, really lovely staff and rooms were pretty quiet off the main road.

Ok real talk: rooms themselves are nice but everything else feels like you're in a halfway house. THB would not recommend anyone I know to stay here. Front desk were nice and room is newish but I would not stay here again. It wasn't even cheaper than an airbnb but the positive reviews fooled me.
