I ordered the pico avocado toast, but what arrived looked like someone sliced a loaf with a chainsaw. The bread was about 1 cm thick, burned to the point it could've doubled as charcoal. I didn't know if I was supposed to eat it or use it as a doorstop. On the bright side, I got a good jaw workout trying to chew through the toast, so technically I left with some exercise. Would I come back? Maybe if I needed building materials. Otherwise probably not.
I've eaten at this location a few times, always great. It was different today. Something crawled out of my salad. I caught it and showed it to a manager. She was as aghast as I, apologized, comped our meal and had the kitchen manager speak with me. I know kitchens do everything they can to prevent this, but I understand it just happens sometimes. Kudos to them for prompt action and concern. I'll go back again.
Carrot whipped feta with gluten free focaccia bread is to die for! Must try. We also had the mushroom sammich with basil aioli. Delicious! This place is a hidden gem.
