I went to City Lock 20 years ago with a house door lock key that wasn't working well. He held up the key, looked closely at it and said, "This is a copy that is not cut quite correctly." Then he corrected it. Since then, I only go to City Lock for any key or lock issues. Recently, an electronic key fob for my Subaru Forester was lost. It was duplicated very quickly and works perfectly. I later found the lost key, and he reprogrammed it on the spot.
