Such a fantastic local hardware store. Friendly staff and convenient location. They recently assisted me in assembling a Halloween costume for my son. I didn't catch his name, but the employee was so helpful and took the time to find everything I would need and offered his own pointers and creativity. Thank you! thank you! I highly recommend this place.
finally - a hardware store back in the city! I stumbled upon this new gem while traveling up 9th Ave N in South Lake Union. It is a new Ace Hardware store on the corner of Harrison Street, but apparently independently owned and operated (according to the mission statement postered on the wall next to the store entrance - a nice touch). Hardware You just can't beat an old fashioned place where they have what you need and know how to use it. Before I start a big project I go in and scope out the job, and ask all the questions I have. Great place.
City Hardware is neighborhood gem! YEAH! the "old" neighborhood hardware store is back. So much here for every project big and small. It's easy to do weekend projects on the spur of a moment when we can just hop over and get all the items and friendly help we need like we did last weekend. Great to have discovered this gem.
A BIG shout out to Queen Anne's City Hardware Marc Gimbel and his staff at City Hardware are on the top of my list of great community resources. If you havent yet visited this neighborhood store down on Harrison & 9th, do so soon. Trust Marc to come up with a great solution for your project! Oh, and his friendly greeter Bear (?name) will always share his water bowl with your pup!
