Absolutely horrible experience. I hosted my wedding at City Hall and the after party at the bar connected, Recess. Their staff was rude to us and barred my husband from the after party for sleeping in our private green room. When I asked for an explanation, this staff member yelled at me and my wedding planner. We had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at City Hall Events and it was absolutely perfect! When looking for a wedding venue, the City Hall staff (Ashlei) were very responsive and helpful in answering questions. After touring the venue, we knew we had to move forward with it. We had the most incredible experience with City Hall Events as our wedding venue! The space itself is absolutely stunning - the perfect blend of Chicago charm with exposed brick and modern, elevated touches. It looked even more gorgeous than we could have imagined on our wedding day!
