In my 30 years of wearing glasses, this is the first optometry office I’ve been to where there is a salesperson cosplaying as a doctor. From the front desk iPad where you video chat with the off-site receptionist to the doctor trying to get me to book a same-day $400 “tear duct massage” appointment in Vernon—every step of the appointment was another sales pitch. Poorly managed practice. I tried to order contacts a few months after a visit, not only had they given me the wrong prescription but when I called to correct it they told me I “wasn’t a patient” despite my having prescriptions they gave me after I paid for an exam there. Both doctors that I saw were older and semi-retired, so imagine that was part of the issue. They also called my emergency contact instead of me to confirm my appointment. I recommend literally anywhere else.
I wish I had names of the clinicians I had today because one was quite rude and impatient and another was very kind and accommodating. To preface I have worn contacts in the past but it had been quite a few years since I'd put them on and taken them out so while I was out of practice, I did not feel it necessary for me to pay an extra $100 for someone to teach me how to do this. I came in as a walk-in, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in despite their busy schedule. From start to finish, the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly, professional.
First, I had issues with my eyes and it seemed the technician who was terrific (the first one I saw) btw was awesome and patient. It was like they didn’t want to bother the eye doctor who was extremely rude. Come to find out I had dry eyes post partum so I had to lubricate them and come back in a week. I did. The technician then was extremely rude. Didn’t know what was going on. Told me the dr who I saw previously was going to talk to me. Never did.
