Location was good. We had food and public transport in close range. Room was clean and new. Glass door seemed to have a gap that let noise and annoying smell of cigarette smoke pass through. Staff were friendly.
I recently stayed at Clarion Hotel South Melbourne for nine days, and overall, the experience was mixed. On the positive side, the hotel did communicate proactively about issues. For example, when the elevator was out of service, they sent an email apologising in advance, which I appreciated. The location in South Melbourne is also quite convenient. Such a great location, walking distance to Anzac train station and easy to find. Staff were all lovely to deal with, even upgraded the room and extended my check out time at no additional cost! The room itself had all the required amenities and was very clean and tidy. I will be staying again and recommending to everyone!
Only issue was we had to call for check-in when it said to midnight, no issue for us. Rooms clean, staff friendly all the amenities you need for a quick stay.
