Very disappointing experience. We ordered just a chicken dish and a pasta, simple items, and yet the food took 45 minutes to arrive, which is unjustifiable considering the restaurant was only about 30% full. While we waited, we could see several servers and assistants chatting behind a wall, as if they thought no one could see them there, instead of attending to the tables. Food was ok service was good
Went with husband and friends, who also have been longtime Citta regulars but this time we were all disappointed. Slow service, brought the wrong dish out and made me wait another 15 minutes while everyone else finished their meal. And then it wasn’t even good, probably because they rushed it out. On top of everything prices have gone up quite a bit…neither of us is in a rush to go back anytime soon.
We overall had a great time and a good meal, but now that it’s “the season” they really need to add a second bartender and think about the execution of the experience. Our bartender did a great job but he was swamped and rushed most of the time, making it difficult to do appropriate follow up (as an aside - I’ve never seen such a huge amount of room behind the bar…not sure why it was built that way but I digress).
