The Citrus Motel was great. Nursing a sick 4WD back from the Strezleki Track to Melbourne, we hit Griffith late. The Citrus had late night, no fuss, check in's. The room was clean, but a bit dated. There was copious hot water and the bed was comfy. Exactly what I needed and perfectly within our price range. It was easy to get into even with roof racks, and the cleaning staff were friendly. I didn't need or want 5☆, I just wanted a hot shower, a long sleep and a kettle.
Cheap but Disappointing Check-in was friendly, but that was unfortunately the highlight of my stay. The room was small and very dated, with a bathroom that hasn’t seen an update in decades. The tiles, fittings, and overall layout feel like something from the '80s. (See photos.) During the afternoon, the constant revving of cars and motorbikes from the property behind made it almost impossible to relax.
