Thinking of getting a Citibank Plus account for the international fee free debit card? It used to be good with a reasonable rate however now they skim 3% of each transaction without telling you. They just calculate it into the conversion. The normal fee free rate is usually 0.5-1% with most international fee free debit cards so shop around. Also the customer service with Citibank is non existent / Phillipines script reading.
Very rude phone customer service , just opened a new account with them and now decided will never transfer one cent into this bank . good luck
Would have to be the absolute worst service I have ever had from a financial institution. I don't know how they are still in business. Shocking.
Since NAB took over Citi cards the service is absolutely shocking. AMEX service is next level fantastic
I like others would like to give zero stars if available. Citibank deactivated my card for not using it regulary enough and penalised me for paying off in full and didn't want to let me know. Needed it one day and faced the embarrasment of being declined. Used the card, now had a small debt to pay. Once again without correspondance, this time closed my account in full the very next day. Can't see the debt, can't pay the debt, all yours now Citibank. You are not a good bank and advise all to keep away
