April 2026 - I am writing this review on behalf of a foreign friend who has had the extreme misfortune of holding an account with Citibank. After several years of banking without issue, Citibank stopped mailing his annual tax documents to his country of residence. Had a lousy experience completely turned around today by Amanda Lorenzo and Diego Villarreal at my Citibank branch in Forest Hills after having attempted fraud on my accounts. They were both above and beyond professional and I am most thankful for their efforts.
I had an excellent experience opening a new Citi regular checking account with Brad, a highly professional bank representative with over 20 years of banking experience. He guided me through enrolling in a sign-up bonus offer and made sure everything was clear and accurate. During the setup, Brad noticed that my apartment address was entered incorrectly in the system and promptly helped correct it, which I truly appreciated.
