I've banked here for over 40 years and, with multiple accounts and significant balances, qualify for "Citigold" services. Thus, you would imagine I can get someone on the phone or a response to email on the rare occasion I need some form of personal services. I'll spare you the full the stories (plural) but share that I'm seriously contemplating the closure of all all my accounts. That would be a big undertaking, of course, so consider that before starting a banking relationship here (or at any Citibank for that matter).
My decades-long banking experience @Citibank on 7th in Park Slope has always been stellar. Recently I needed to get as many crisp USD bills as possible for an international trip. The teller from Montenegro was exceedingly cooperative (when sifting through and replacing the worn USD bills) and accommodated my request with an understanding smile.
Always a good experience at this branch. Shout out to Yuping for helping me send a wire recently a few minutes before closing time! She always knows the answers to the trickiest transactional questions and she's friendly and kind. It's really nice to be able to interact with real people, in this increasingly machine-run world. Thank you, Citi team!
I stopped in without notice and needed significant assistance with a banking concern. One of the managers was just super—taking extra time on a Friday afternoon to make sure my paperwork was in order to help an elderly relative of mine in the neighborhood. Small town feel. Very nice.
