Cindy was very thorough to get the proper permitting, and also cut the tree roots back well and did excellent finishing.
I noticed the 1 star review and almost did not call this company. I am glad I took the time to actually ready the reviews. It was clear to me that a lazy unhappy person shouldn't be allowed to write poor reviews. I spoke with Cindy on the phone and she was very professional. Even though I am not going to use her services, she kindly sent me into the right direction, and for that, I thank you.
They've had the sidewalk blocked off for 4 days now so everyone has to walk out into busy traffic or way up in people's yards just to get from point A to point B. Why they haven't gotten ticketed yet is a mystery. It doesn't look like they've made any progress since they tore everything up on Monday and put a thousand barricades all over the place. All they have to do is pour the concrete and move all their obstacles so the rest of the neighborhood can get back to normal but they don't seem to be in any rush.
When you get a sidewalk repair tag from Portland, it includes an estimate for the city to do the work. The private sector can do it for about half of what the city quotes. Cindy told me on the phone that she would do it for the city quote of about $4k. She said the city's quote does not include the cost of the concrete and would cost me about 5-6K making it appear she would be saving me money. She was lying and knew it.
