For 30 years, Cinder's Charcoal Grill has been cookin' your favorite steak sandwiches, gourmet burgers, fish, salads and hearty grilled sandwiches. Our meat is cut and ground daily and then grilled to perfection over a real charcoal fire. Handmade soups and salads round out our menu. We are a family-owned, family-run restaurant / bar and grill with two locations in Appleton - South Kensington Dr. and West Wisconsin Ave. Our staff is friendly and our food is fresh and good. what makes a great restaurant Ive been to cinders a few times in the past couple years now, and i have to say that the service and food have been above par, dispite the lack of theme that definetly doesnt match the robust name of the restaurant, the wait staff have been not only polite, but personable and funny, which is exactly what i look for in a good server, someone who interacts with the customers, and is not just there to get the job done. Food is Great Service Is horrible! My expectations would have been met if the waitress, kelly, wasn't rude. The best dish is the tenderloin sandwhich. The service was poor, we asked for our sodas right away and waited 12 minutes. My Tenderloin Sandwhich was dark. I asked for it to be redone and the cook refused. I have never went back. I complained to the owner, he never called me back. I doscovered from talking to friends that Kelly our waitress is his daughter. We never recieved a coupon for poor service and burned food. We love Cinders! We really enjoy going to Cinders. Everything is so fresh, and the steak sandwiches are the best! The staff is friendly and they seem to enjoy their jobs, even when the place is packed on a Friday night with the fish fry going on. We like to take our visitors from out of town to Cinders so they can see the best of our local eating places. Pleasant family atmosphere is very welcoming. PROS: Variety, freshness, fair prices, friendly, great hours CONS:
Awesome BBQ Cinders is a great place to go if you like grilled food. I eat there at least once a week. They're Angus burgers are the best and it is big enough to feed an army.
