Our new business, which started one month before COVID hit, looked to CSU (CInFin's subsidiary) for our insurance needs in the summer. Realizing that the rates we were locked into were way too high compared to what other companies offered ($700/month vs $80/month for the same policy), we decided to cancel. At this time, CSU sent an email to an email account that wasn't used by us as owners providing all forms to fill out to cancel the policy (as telling them wasn't enough for some reason). Quick to cancel and billing comes few days before due. My statement says it was generated on Dec. 9th and due Jan. 1. I received it and sent out payment on Dec. 28th. They already sent a cancellation notice to take effect Jan. 20th if payment not received. This notice arrived Jan. 11th. They don't take into consideration holiday slow mail and don't even call or send a late notice. After being with them for years, I consider this as their way of getting rid of customers they aren't making money on. So unethical to even consid... read more

In November of 2019 my wife was stuck by another vehicle. She was determined not at fault. I called Cincinnati the next day and the adjuster came out the following day. Made her estimate and was satisfied with where we wanted to have the car repaired. She sent all relative information to the repair facility which used oem parts. Quick and simple I was delightfully surprised!

My experience is so close to Ian S in 2018...I tried dealing with the first claims adjuster that was rude and claim he never received information that was sent. When I told him I am trying to get this over with because the hospital bills caused my credit score to drop, he told me it was my fault for taking so long to get treatment and paperwork in! I asked for his boss and he told me he doesn't have one! When I called and got his boss, dealing with him is not much better. First I was put off because he had a family emergency... read more

Had an accident on November 12, admitted fault by an individual insured by Cincinnati. Police report filed accordingly. Took several days to have claims adjuster contact us, everything has moved at snail's pace, and company insists on their standard procedures to lower cost (no rental until repair is started, only refurbished parts can be covered), claiming no legal liability of client for new parts. We recently purchased a new work truck and financed through this company who actually handles more then finance. They have totally dropped the ball. We received a bill before we actually took possession of the vehicle. Now that the truck has finally been delivered we are still at the mercy of this company awaiting license and registration of the vehicle. And to no avail can they tell us when we are to receive the registration and license plates to use our $ 67,000 truck to our fleet, we are losing money everyday here. If the... read more

We were waiting for additional information from the customer which we received October 15. The next day, October 16, we mailed by overnight carrier the documentation that they need for their title. This should be resolved.

Cincinnati Insurance has been one of the worse experiences I’ve been through. Their insurer hit me a month ago. I still don’t have my vehicle back. The adjuster I’m working with is rude, and unprofessional. So I called his boss, who was even more rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t even get a word in, and when I finally asked for his bosses number he told me to F off and hung up on me. This has been going on for 3 weeks of no answers and straight anger. <p>I've been a customer for 25 years - auto, renter's, homeowners, rider policies. I think I've made maybe 4 claims in those 25 years. I always pay my bill on time. Last year I damaged my vehicle to the tune of $10k after hydroplaning on the highway. My vehicle is only a few years old, and has full-coverage. Mr. ********** accident did occur late last year. Until recently CIC had been waiting for Mr. ******** to provide an estimate for the repairs to his vehicle. CIC had previously contacted Mr. ******** multiple times in an effort to conclude his collision claim. Since Mr. ********** 10/26/2016 customer review, he has been contacted and an appointment to inspect his vehicle has set.
