Was checked in and told that there was only 3 people ahead of us and that it wouldn't be long before we were taken back. We waited almost 6 hours in a nearly empty waiting room before being seen. We will start taking our children to Columbus , Lexington, or Louisville
The actual main hospital is great but the ER is kind of a joke. Came in with my wound from surgery splitting open 30 minutes in I get to triage. The nurse confirmed it was splitting, said they’d have to put me back in the waiting room as there were no rooms available. Took them 2 and a half hours to get me back to a room. Was seen by doctor and nurse pretty quick, but it took them another hour to bring me some ibuprofen for intense pain. And do a basic urine test. Will only come back if it is a last resort.
We were being taken back from the waiting room to our room and the woman was walking so fast we couldn’t keep up. My daughter doubled over in pain. She was so far ahead of us when she came back we had to ask for a wheelchair. The woman taking us back to the lobby also walked way too fast. This isn’t the first time we have experienced this issue. I know your team is used to walking around very fast. I just wish they would have more awareness that people walking with them are sick.
