I normally wouldn’t leave a review like this, but after my recent experience with the Cincinnati Center for DBT, I feel it’s important to share. I began services here with high hopes and a genuine commitment to my mental health journey. Unfortunately, my first group session was uncomfortable and, frankly, distressing. The environment did not feel safe or supportive, and certain practices—such as using a rubber chicken to “correct” common language—felt more humiliating than therapeutic. The Cincinnati Center For DBT is one of the most wonderful clinics that I've ever seen. They have incredibly skilled clinicians that do their best to make your experience comfortable. Sam K is a good friend of mine that is currently training there.

Cancelled appointment for my minor child greater than 48 hour prior to appointment via practice's secured message chat with therapist and also talked directly with office manager. Office manager stated I could not just cancel the appointment but had to reschedule directly with the therapist. The therapist was on vacation and would not return until less than 48 hours before the previously scheduled appointment. The office manager was extremely rude and demanding stating I had no other option and had to reschedule with the the... read more
