This has been our primary Insurance for 18 yrs. cigna now uses the Ash company for their discounting services. Though our own company self pays the policy and cigna and ash handle paperwork only. Their customer service ppl read from charts, can’t talk to a manager, can not correctly find answers or resolve matters. Insist we pay $750 IND (deductible) and ADDITIONAL $1500 deductible for a total of $2250. This company has no problem accepting your premiums, but when it comes time to provide life-saving care, they turn their back on you. A close friend of mine has been denied essential cancer medication; recommended by not one, but three doctors. It’s disgraceful. If you’re looking for an insurance provider that values human life over profits, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
Horrible Experience After 30+ Years with Cigna I've been a loyal Cigna policyholder since 1993, originally through my employer. I was unable to connect to customer service about my account not being set-up correctly online, so I receive an email about a claim being processed, select the link and then it takes me to a closed out account from the previous year. I can't use the chat feature- as it says I don't have an active account. When I called the CS number, after 15 minutes of dialing through menus, I spoke to a live person- who didn't know what to do, so she transferred me to the main number.
