I had a very disappointing experience at JR Nail Salon. Every time I get my nails done here, they start breaking after only five days, which is unacceptable considering how much they charge. When I went back to have them fixed, the technician suggested I switch to hard gel but never mentioned that it would cost extra or explained the price beforehand. My first visit to this salon was for gel nails, and my second visit was to remove those gel nails and get a regular manicure. What frustrated me most was the condition my nails were left in after the gel removal. I specifically went to a salon because I wanted my gel nails removed safely and professionally rather than risk damaging them myself at home. This nail salon is pretty far out of my way, but honestly worth the last minute trip. They offer a loyalty points program, which is a nice bonus. I got a regular gel manicure with 3 coats and one color for only $30, probably the cheapest price I’ve come across so far. The staff was really sweet and even included a free massage. Another plus is that it’s usually not too busy, and they offer dip powder with a good variety of options.
