RecommendedAs an improviser from out of town, I LOVE seeing more "niche" and uncompromising improv that stretches conventions. As a bonus, my face hurt from laughing!
Great little place to watch improv. We came to watch HER and was very pleased by a funny and touching performance about life, love and finding happiness.
CIC holds a special place in my heart. This theater gave me my first on stage experience of complete presence & awareness with my scene partners. The atmosphere is like being in your best friends house except there's also a full stage & stadium seating built in. If you haven't already been or are curious about watching some local performers and don't know where to start I encourage you to take the dive at CIC.
This is a fantastic theatre and a fun, friendly bar to hang with friends. Pours are generous, talk with staff and patrons even more so and the Saturday night line up is always a sure hit. I've watched many a show here and they always deliver.
I visit almost everytime I'm in Chicago. The bar is great too.
