MY STEP-MOTHER IS SCHEDULED FOR M.A.I.D. I CALLED THE BRANCH TO ARRANGE TO TRANSFER HER 1 YEAR GIC TO HER SAVINGS ACCOUNT AT ANOTHER BRANCH SO SHE COULD ACCESS THE MONEY BEFORE HER DEATH. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT RESISTANCE. NOBODY CALLS ME BACK. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE. THEY WILL JUST LET HER DIE BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING. THIS IS NOT THEIR MONEY BUT THEY ACT AS IF IT IS. This location has been ignoring phone calls and not answering when a client is looking for they're money especially if it's an ordered amount! I have filed a formal complaint at CIBC HEAD OFFICE, they will be dealt with by them

Unbelievably slow. Thankfully they don’t get busy, or the line-up for teller services would leave many folks out in the cold. I’ve been behind the same 2 customers for 15 minutes: one needs a new bank card, one just seems to want to deposit $60 CAD. I’ve seen these sorts of things take 1-2 mins elsewhere, including other CIBC branches. It’s true many customers here are senile and the staff seem to make some effort to accommodate … but the very long time for simple transactions seems to be more about the staff moseying along ... read more
