Honestly, I don’t know what’s happening to CIBC. There was once a time when the term ‘Banker’ meant professionalism—individuals who looked and spoke the part, and upheld impeccable customer service standards. Yesterday, however, the advisor I met with barely took the time to hear or understand my request. Instead of engaging with me, he simply handed me a brochure and told me to speak to someone else. I came by this store as it was close to home, I wish I hadn't. First off I wanted to open an account for my child and also add some services on my account as well, I was directed to a person which I do not remember the name as he never introduced himself only handed me his card, next he asked me if I have a "PR card and how long have I been employed" while standing in front of his office door - I am a Canadian Citizen and my child was born in Canada.
