Extremely long lineups, understaffed and what staff are there thought you could put holds on bank drafts. The person had bank drafts and certified cheques confused. I told her to call the Scotia bank that issued the draft, verify it and release thd funds and she wouldn’t. She later called back to her credit and said that she was wrong but couldn’t reside the funds because the hood had been put on already…. Ugh. Go to gardiners. Does anyone answer the phone? Ever? I've been trying for days to get through. Tried multiple branches and they are all the same. Leaving a VM doesn't work because I have limited availability to answer a return call. I can get a mortgage somewhere else if my money isn't good enough for you. I tried the 800 # to get a pre auth. Not sure where my call was sent but it was a waste of time.

Terrible service! Waited over 30 minutes, and they were still dealing with customers who came before me. Ridiculously slow pace, taking over 30 minutes per customer. Unacceptable! The place feels understaffed and lazy, with an uninviting atmosphere.
