ATM inside the CIBC Branch can't count Canadian paper currency properly; I was very disappointed with this ATM transaction! I had put in 15 bills of Canadian currency (all the bills were new and crisp) to do a deposit to my Canadian $$ checking account. The ATM took its sweet time counting the bills and in the end it only deposited 13 out of 15 paper currency bills that I had deposited. It then returned the other 2 paper currency bills to me. Disgusting service. Wasted 30 min there and completed nothing. I only want to book and appointment with a financial advisor, but the front desk let me stand there and did not book or do anything. I left with only anger and disappointment.
Wait 1 hr to get a simple transaction done. Manager do not care.
Very slow customer service and always a lineup. A bit dated too.
Horrible and unsafe banking practices. I was distracted and forgot to pick up the cash from the ATM. Later I went to branch and I was told the machine did to retract the notes and cash was sitting there on the ATM for 20 minutes exposed to public before someone else took it. All modern machines suck in back uncollected cash after 30 seconds. CIBC should be held accountable for operating unsafe and not following the banking laws set bt FCAC.
