I went to exchange some American money into Canadian. The teller said because you don’t have an account with us we have to give you a lower exchange rate?😳😂 Did she just make this stuff up?? Come on CIBC…

My only basis for the one-star review is that I received a call, in Russian or Ukrainian, from this number. Because I can understand the language somewhat, it was about some kind of promotion. I told them wrong number, hung up, and they called back from this number right after, which I ignored. Surprised to Google the number and see it is an actual CIBC branch. I don’t bank at CIBC nor do I live in Barrie.
Let me tell you about a CIBC bank manager named Lisa Marie Henry, not so much a bank employee but an ambassador for the human race. CIBC you are lucky to have such a kind, empathetic, cheerful, and professional employee who cares and knows her job. My partner and I came in on a Saturday at noon, at the cundles branch where LMH was working that day, not even her own bank, and she went out of her way it felt like to help us with some account changes and cashing large check.
