the ATM sometimes works at 11 pm, sometimes at 5 am, and sometimes the door is just closed, and there is no logic in this. As if this is not a metropolis but a tundra.

I visited the CIBC Fort York branch on June 12, 2025, at 10:15 AM to activate my credit card, and the experience was highly disappointing. The staff member at the counter was unprofessional and seemed to lack basic training. She didn’t acknowledge me when I approached and immediately demanded documents not mentioned by the customer service representative for a simple card activation. I had a very disappointing experience with Richard Koo, the branch manager at this CIBC location. He was consistently arrogant and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner, which made the entire interaction uncomfortable. It felt like he was abusing his position of authority rather than helping customers. I hope CIBC addresses this issue because no customer should be treated this way.
Another branch that does not process basic bank transactions. They have a huge space and what’s the point?
