CIBC really did their homework on their location and the demographics. This branch is probably in the worst location in Oakville for homeless and transients. I kid you not if you parked in the parking lot and wait long enough you'll have a homeless person coming up to your car as soon as you get out of the bank or if they know you're going to go in. Very disappointing experience at this branch. After updating my father-in-law’s account from visitor to work permit/refugee status, his debit card stopped working properly. Transactions keep getting declined, and despite multiple visits and even replacing the card, the issue is still not resolved. We were assisted by a staff member named Khai Vo, and unfortunately the experience felt unprofessional and at times uncomfortable. We expected better support, especially for a senior customer. Do not use this bank. For example, I will give a situation that happened to me. I had a credit limit of $4500, and I bought an iPhone for $2000, and paid with a credit card. The next day the bank reduced my limit to $500 and withdrew additional funds from my account for exceeding the limit. This is crap.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. I had left my AirPods at the branch and called the next morning to confirm if they had seen them. I called 15 times because every time I got through to them I heard a males voice muttering something then hanging up. By the time I finally got through the same male picked up and I had asked if my AirPods were there and he said no and hung up.
